Always into the darker and sometimes harder ilk of not only electronic dance music but in music as a whole, Jason 'Arkaim' drew inspiration from DJs and producers such as Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Sven Vath, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Technasia, Speedy J, Fergie and Phil Kieran, some of which he saw monthly at the legendary Shine events in his hometown of Belfast, Northern Ireland. He played his first gig in 2008 and since then has played resident to numerous techno nights such as Resonate, Exile and Mutate in Dublin, supporting the likes of Raiz, Joachim Spieth, Dubiosity and Matthias Tanzmann. Jason has also appeared regularly as a guest for a host of clubs around the city and further afield, sharing the bill with Oscar Mulero, Neil Landstrumm, Bas Mooy, Sunil Sharpe, Miniminds and also Fergie at the launch of his album 'Dynamite And Laserbeams' in Shine's sister club 'Stiff Kitten'. For two years Jason produced a monthly techno podcast called the Rodcast, showcasing established guests such as Frankyeffe, Hugo Paixao, Dani Sbert, Fusky and Jet Project's T-Bone. This provided him with an ever-growing list of valuable contacts, recognition on a larger scale and a great stepping-stone to progress as a DJ himself. He now hosts his own monthly show 'DEP:RAVE' on the Fnoob Techno channel featuring his own mixes and guests such as Neil Landstrumm, Eomac (Killekill) and Gedevaan (Lead Square).
